Windows 10: Change the date and time manually

How can I change the date and time in Windows 10?
In case you did not know, both the time and the day of the calendar on a PC with the Microsoft operating system can be configured manually.

Windows 10 is an operating system that uses the Internet connection to automatically synchronize the date and time so you don't have to do anything. Even so, we already know that it may be the case that the date or time is wrong (after a time change, for example), so if you want to configure them manually you must simply follow these steps:
  • Click on the Start icon ( Windows 10: Change the date and time manually).
  • Enter "Settings."
  • Then, click on "Time and language".
  • In the "Set time automatically" option, Click on the button below to make it Disabled.
  • Now the "Change" button will have been on, so click on it and, now, manually choose the time and date you want to have configured on your Windows 10 computer.
  • Finally, click on the "Change" button.
Today we are going to explain how to re-synchronize the Windows 10 clock with Microsoft servers. After making some changes in the UEFI of the computer, the clock was out of sync and marked me one hour less permanently, something that was not solved even restarting it.

If something similar happens to you after making a change, you should know that there is a fairly simple solution to solve it. We will also explain other alternatives, such as setting yourself manually the time it is if all else fails.

Force Windows 10 clock sync:
Time and Language:
The first thing you have to do is open the Windows Settings by clicking on the gear icon that you will see in the start menu or the notification center. Once inside, click on the Time and language option that will appear below, and where you can change the language of your computer, the date or its region in addition to the time.

Set time:
Once you enter the Time and language section, make sure you are in the Date and time category that you will access directly, and that you can see in the left column. In there, deactivate and activate the Set time button automatically.

When you do, you will be forcing Windows to recheck the time with the central servers. Even if you had the wrong time despite having it activated, turning it off and returning to fix it is repaired. It is a simple solution and it will work in most cases, although it is not the only one there is.

Adjusted Time:
For example, in this section of Date and time you will also be able to set your time zone automatically by activating the option, so Windows will automatically detect your country to configure it for you. If you prefer, you can manually configure your time zone. And if you have the automatic time and time zone disabled, you can also click on the option Change date and time.

Date and Time:
If you click on the Change button of Change date and time, a screen will open in which you can manually set the date and time you are exactly. This will only be done if you don't have the automatic time, and if you activate it later, the current real-time will always be rewritten above.

Summer schedule:
Finally, another option that you may want to have activated is to change the time automatically according to daylight saving time. If you activate it, Windows will automatically add or remove a time according to summer or wintertime.
